I wasn't able to get out on Saturday but, I got to the
field Sunday a little after noon. Temps were in the low to mid 90's with
abundant sunshine and moderate winds out of the south. The field looked
fantastic! I broke out my stuff and started working on reviving a dead combat
plane for this weekends upcoming event. I took a couple of pictures at about
2PM. THERE WAS NOBODY HERE BUT ME! Where was everybody?
Finally, people started trickling in. Jeff Layman had a
guest from Bells and flew with him. Tim T. moved the sprinklers and then he
and Harry got some tables and chairs at Sam's and did a little work on the
building. Jim Wilson flew a few times with his Ultimate and one of his combat
planes. Rick Bennett came out just as I was leaving and flew his big Super Cub
and an electric Corsair.
